The company has predicted that half of all holidays will be booked online by 2009, with the internet already the favourite method of booking for business trips.
The Bradford & Bingley insurance package, offered along with First Assist Insurance Services, will offer these "etravellers" immediate cover along with a ten per cent discount.
Nigel Asplin, general insurance director for Bradford & Bingley, explained: "The ease of organising a trip from your own home or office desk attracts millions and we were keen to offer people the same convenience when booking their travel insurance.
"The new online travel insurance service reflects the needs of the 'e-generation' offering comprehensive cover for individuals and families looking for single trip, annual multi- trip or backpacker cover."
The Bradford & Bingley insurance packages include rates for individual and family travellers to Europe.
Individuals can take out a seven-day package priced at £16.14 or a 14-day package at £18.69, while families can avail themselves of a £33.49 deal on seven days and £39.60 on 14 days.
