Co-operative Insurance bonus rates announced

Market value reductions and bonus rates for with-profits bonds continue unchanged from April of this year. Additionally, annual bonuses have not changed for other kinds of with-profit policies.
Minor changes are being made to final bonuses to guarantee that payouts to "represent a fair share" of the CIS Long Term Business Fund.
Tim Bunch, with-profits actuary at Co-operative Insurance, commented: "The investment return on our traditional with-profits assets over the past year has been 8.4 per cent."
"This return is reflected in the maturity payouts for our with-profits policyholders, which continue to compare favourably with other types of long-term investment."
He added that the "smoothing of investment returns" seen in all with-profit policies decreases the "volatility" of payouts."
In August, Co-operative Investment introduced three core funds onto the FundsNetwork platform.
