Shelter Offshore: Expats should consider health insurance

Director Rhiannon Davies said that healthcare is "very affordable" in some places such as Cyprus and Turkey, but it "really is worth" looking into insurance to ensure you are receiving all proper care and treatment that might be required.
Ms Davies warned: "If you move to live abroad and cut all ties with the UK, don't automatically assume you can always fall back on the good old NHS."
While Britons in retirement in many European countries should get free healthcare, she advised "checking with the likes of SAGA and the British Embassy in the given nation to get their advice".
Restrictions on expats' rights to state healthcare were announced in June.
They were reportedly focused on non-working expats under pension age.
In June, foreign nationals not contributing to Spain's social security system lost their right to healthcare unless they had either an E121 or and E106 form.
