Confused.com says shop around for the best motor insurance

Will Thomas, head of motor insurance at the comparison site, recommended that people shop around to find the lowest price, particularly when taking out car insurance for younger drivers.
He advised getting a car with a small engine initially, so that new drivers can get some experience on the road and build up their no-claims bonus.
"Price comparison is the ideal solution to getting the best price for the most suitable cover," he added.
Research by the organisation showed that 75 per cent of new drivers buy a car with an engine of 1.4 litres or less and 40 per cent purchase it using their own savings.
Last month, the price comparison brought out research showing that £411 million had been wasted by consumers not shopping around for their car insurance.
