AA insurance adapted for single parents

Single parent families can now save up to 40 per cent compared with conventional family insurance if they take out AA insurance.
"Single parent families sometimes find it a struggle to meet the cost of a holiday so why should they be penalised by having to pay for family travel insurance that typically cover two adults and up to four children?" asked Kevin Sinclair, managing director of AA Insurance.
"AA single-trip travel insurance for one adult aged between 18 and 65, taking up to four children aged under 18 who live at the same address, will bring big savings," he promised.
AA insurance packages will also apply to single parents who are divorced or separated or whose children do not permanently live with them.
In addition, the package could apply to one parent of a two-parent family who is taking the children on holiday alone.
Single parents now reportedly account for more than a quarter of all families in the UK.
